Rawson Signage

No movement on site for the last couple of days :(. Rain is expected for at least the next week. Hoping its not going to be as bad a predicted, as it would ne nice to see a slab go down soon. Rawson signage was erected on the fence. Port-a-loo & sediment control fencing is still MIA.

Spoke to SS and he advised that the concretors have been held up on another Rawson job, and they will be at our site next week, and the slab will be done (weather permitting). He is going to move the frame delivery to monday 24th, to ensure curing agent and termite protection is down before the frame comes as the frames will be laid directly on the slab as we have no room for them elsewhere. SS has also released our bricks for delivery so we should see them very soon too.

Plumbing

Yesterday the plumbing was done, along with the site fence being erected, and a water tap installed. SS expects the concretors to be on site for the rest of the week getting the formwork ready to pour the slab as next Thursday 20th Feb our frames are suppose to be delivered. Hopefully we will also see a loo and the sediment control fence put up as well.

Piering

Yesterday the concretors were on site to markout the layout of the house on the block.

Site Cut

Yesterday we were suprised to find out off one of our lovely neighbours that there was an excavator on our site working! Our SS called us shortly after to let us know what was happening and what he expects to happen in the next week or so. We have a fair bit of extra fill that needs to be taken away (at our cost) as we have asked the excavator to cut as close as possible to the boundary around the block to save us time later on, and for the fact that getting a machine in later will be virtually impossible.

Ready To Go

After a long 7 months in admin, we are finally in the construction phase. We have been promised that our file will be finally handed over to our SS. Rawson have provided us with his name and number, now we just need to wait for him to make contact.

Pegged!

We finally recevied our final construction plans on Wednesday 15th January, which was also the first day of our 30 week construction period. We also received a nice suprise, when one of our neighbours informed us that our block had been pegged. Our file is going to be handed over to our SS next week, so we are patiently waiting now for a call from him to let us know what will be happening and when.

Final Plans - Still Waiting

Next wednesday marks the first day of our 30 week construction period. Unfortunately, we wont be seeing anything on site for a few weeks at least as we are still waiting for our final plans, which will hopefully be ready next week. Then our file will then be given to our SS, and then we should start seeing our home being built. Worst case senario we should have handover no later than 7th August 2014.
